Asakusa Nishi-Sando Shopping Street

After passing through Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise Street and visiting Senso-ji Temple, turn left to find Nishi-Sando, marked by its Kabuki-theater-style gate. The walkway is paved with hinoki cypress wood, and the street features scenery inspired by the traditional townscape of the Edo period. It is also a popular photo spot, where many visitors are seen taking pictures.

Located along an easy route after temple worship, Nishi-Sando allows visitors to enjoy dining, shopping, and cultural experiences all in one place. Frequently featured on television and other media, it is known as one of the popular standard routes for sightseeing in Asakusa.
