Bazoku

Located along Asakusa-dori just a short walk from Kaminarimon Gate, Chinese Hand-Pulled Ramen Bazoku Asakusa Main Branch is a Chinese noodle eatery established in 1977. It is renowned for the thunderous clatter resonating from the front window, where artisans vigorously stretch and slam dough on the counter to pull fresh noodles by hand.

Crafted with traditional techniques hailing from China’s Shandong province, each batch of noodles is beaten and pulled fresh upon order. The freshly boiled noodles boast a hearty, springy chew and a smooth finish as they glide down. The classic Ramen features a gentle, comforting soy-sauce broth made from chicken stock, topped simply with wakame seaweed, roast pork chashu, and seasoned bamboo shoots. The clean broth lets the natural wheat aroma and tender elasticity of the handmade noodles take center stage.

Diners can also enjoy their fragrant Dandan Noodles—infused with deeply roasted sesame oil—or handmade potstickers wrapped in thick, crispy skins. Fitted with counter seats, round tables, and walls filled with autographs, it is an inviting stop for anyone eager to experience authentic freshly pulled noodles.
