Momotaro

Located along Kokusai-dori Street, just steps from Tsukuba Express Asakusa Station, Momotaro is a historic confectionery shop founded in 1871 (Meiji 4), preserving time-honored traditional flavors for over 150 years.

Facing the main street with an open-counter facade, the shop offers comforting, handcrafted Japanese sweets beloved across generations. The signature item is their Mame Daifuku—a soft, chewy rice cake packed generously with large, savory Hokkaido red peas, wrapped around a smooth, delicately sweet red bean paste (koshi-an).
