Konohana

Located in Oku-Asakusa's Kannoura district, just north of Senso-ji Temple, Konohana is an intimate bakery run side by side by two sisters who were born and raised right here in Asakusa, specializing in wild-yeast breads and rustic baked goods.

Their breads are crafted with patience and care, using natural yeast cultured from raisins combined with carefully selected domestic Japanese wheat. Each bite reveals the honest sweetness of the grain alongside a gentle fermentation tang. From pleasantly chewy bagels and rustic table rolls to seasonal scones and muffins, each treat reflects a dedicated, straightforward approach to quality ingredients.

Filled with the comforting aroma of fresh baking, the warm, white-toned shop carries the easy, grounded charm of its local owners. It is a welcoming neighborhood stop to pick up thoughtful, everyday breads while wandering the backstreets of Asakusa.
