Bakery Courage

Located along Kaminarimon-dori Avenue and marked by its distinctive sweet-bun sign, Courage is a neighborhood bakery offering freshly baked breads, savory buns, and pastries to locals and visitors alike.

The shop’s signature item is the cube-shaped "Asakusa Anpan," branded on top with the kanji for "浅草" (Asakusa). Made with premium Goyo eggs and Caspian Sea yogurt, the dough has a soft, moist texture encasing a generous two-layer filling of chunky sweet red bean paste (tsubu-an) and light whipped fresh cream. Despite its satisfying weight in hand, the sweetness remains moderate and easy to enjoy.
