Located in the Asakusa Park Rokku area, Coffee Aroma is a long-standing kissaten (Japanese-style coffee shop) founded in 1964. Centered around a compact counter-seating layout, the establishment has long been favored by local residents and visitors alike.
The shop is known for its freshly ground blended and single-origin coffees, carefully brewed to order using paper drip filters. A highlight of the menu is the toast, made with white bread from Pelican, a historic local bakery in Tawaramachi, toasted evenly on both sides. In addition to classic buttered and jam toasts, options include a ham toast—where the ham is freshly pan-seared in a small skillet right in front of the guest—and a unique Onion Toast featuring raw onions and pickles.
The intimate space allows guests to enjoy a quiet moment while watching the master meticulously brew coffee and prepare food right before their eyes.
